10x5: Lot of (34) 1959 Topps Commons; Avg Condition VG/EX

$34.69

The White Sox and Dodgers played in the 1959 World Series, the first for the White Sox in 40 years and the last for another 46. The Dodgers, on the other hand, were playing in their seventh of the past 13 seasons, and they won the series four games to two. Ron Fairly, whose rookie card is included in this lot, played in all six games but had only three at-bats, going hitless. He primarily served as a late-inning defensive replacement in the outfield, including for Norm Larker, also included in this lot. Fairly had the much more impressive big league career in the end, though. Earl Torgeson, the only White Sox included in this lot, also saw limited play in the series, going 0-1 with a walk and a run in three games (two plate appearances).

This lot contains 34 commons from the 1959 Topps set, mostly in very good/excellent (VG/EX) condition, with a few outliers in lesser or better condition.   Some cards have modest corner or surface wear, and a few have minor wrinkling.  No creases or other major defects.  All cards are pictured, see photographs for additional information on condition.

This 10×5 Dutch auction started on December 21st, 2025, at $69.38. It will be reduced by 10% every five days until it is sold. Please see Additional Info for the full list of cards and bid reduction schedule.
